History Postgraduate work at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria began in 1991/92 academic session. It started with an Acting Dean, Professor Avoseh (who was also the Deputy Vice-Chancellor). There were 11 members of the Postgraduate School Board then. It started with Masters Programmes in all the four Departments of Faculty of Education and Masters in Public Administration i.e. only two Faculties. In 2008/2009, all the Faculties and College of Medicine now run postgraduate programmes (academic and professional).
